At the Society for Environment and Sustainable Development (SESD), we are committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of our donors, volunteers, and members. We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you donate, register as a volunteer, or join our membership program. This includes:

 * Personal Identifiers: Name, email address, phone number, and physical address.

 * Tax Compliance Data: PAN Card number (required by the Income Tax Department for issuing 80G tax-exemption receipts).

 * Payment Data: We do not store your credit card or bank details. All payments are processed securely by our partner, Razorpay, which complies with PCI-DSS standards.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used solely for the following NGO operations:

 * Donation Processing: To process contributions and issue automated 80G tax receipts.

 * Certifications: To generate and email Volunteer or Membership certificates using Google Workspace and Autocrat.

 * Communication: To send project updates and field stories regarding the Aravali conservation.

 * Legal Compliance: To maintain records required by the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Income Tax Department.

3. Data Processing & Automation

To provide a seamless experience, we use third-party automation tools:

 * Google Forms & Sheets: For data collection and record-keeping.

 * Make.com & Autocrat: To automate the delivery of certificates.

 * Razorpay: To facilitate secure online transactions.

   By using our website, you consent to the processing of your data by these trusted service providers for the purposes mentioned above.

4. Data Retention and Erasure

We retain your personal data only as long as necessary for legal, auditing, and tax purposes (typically 7 years as per Indian NGO regulations). In accordance with the DPDP Rules 2025, you have the right to request the correction or erasure of your personal data when it is no longer required for its original purpose.

5. Sharing of Data

SESD does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Data is only shared with:

 * Financial institutions and payment gateways (Razorpay) to complete transactions.

 * Regulatory authorities as required by Indian law (Income Tax Dept / NGO Darpan).

6. Your Rights

Under the DPDPA 2025, you have the right to:

 * Access the personal data we hold about you.

 * Withdraw your consent for communication at any time.

 * Nominate an individual to exercise your rights in the event of incapacity.
