At the Society for Environment and Sustainable Development (SESD), we are committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of our donors, volunteers, and members. This policy explains how we handle your information in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) and Razorpay compliance requirements.
1. Information We Collect
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you donate, register as a volunteer, or join our membership program. This includes:
- Personal Identifiers: Name, email address, phone number, and physical address.
- Tax Compliance Data: PAN Card number (required by the Income Tax Department for issuing 80G tax-exemption receipts).
- Payment Data: We do not store your credit card or bank details. All payments are processed securely by our partner, Razorpay, which complies with PCI-DSS standards.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used solely for the following NGO operations:
- • Donation Processing (80G Receipts)
- • Membership & Volunteer Certifications
- • Aravali Conservation Updates
- • Legal & Government Compliance
3. Data Processing & Automation
To provide a seamless experience, we use third-party automation tools:
Google Forms & Sheets, Make.com, Autocrat, and Razorpay. By using our website, you consent to the processing of your data by these trusted service providers for the purposes mentioned above.
4. Retention & Erasure
We retain data for 7 years as per Indian NGO regulations. Under DPDP Rules 2025, you may request correction or erasure of data no longer required.
5. Sharing of Data
SESD does not sell, rent, or trade data. Shared only with Razorpay (for transactions) and Regulatory authorities (Income Tax / NGO Darpan).
